Attorney Andy Hunt received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Erskine College, his law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, and a Masters of Law in Taxation from the University of Miami. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1986 and the State Bar of Georgia in 1987. After gaining experience in taxation issues at the KPMG Peat Marwick accounting firm in Orlando, and in probate, estate planning and real estate law at a law firm in Altamonte Springs, Mr. Hunt joined the Bradley Johnson Law Firm (now D. Andrew Hunt, P.A.) in October, 1990.
When Mr. Hunt moved his family to Lake Wales, Florida in 1990, he was coming home. Born and raised in Lake Wales, he is the third generation of his family to live in, work in, and serve the Lake Wales community. He has continued his family’s legacy of service and leadership through his many volunteer community involvements. Mr. Hunt is currently or has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Lake Wales YMCA, the Lake Wales Rotary Club, the Board of Trustees of Webber International University, the Board of Deacons and the Board of Elders of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales, the Board of Trustees of the Lake Wales Public Library, the Board of Trustees of the Vanguard School, Chairman of the Board of Directors of American Bank and Trust, the Lake Wales Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors for the Lake Wales Retirement Center, Inc., and Chief manager for Waters Edge of Lake Wales, LLC.
Since joining the Bradley Johnson Law Firm in 1990, Mr. Hunt continues to practice in the areas of estate planning (which includes wills, trusts, and powers of attorney), estate administration, probate, and real estate law. He prides himself in providing conscientious, personal service to his clients, some of whom are multi-generational clients of the firm.
In 2018, the name was changed to D. Andrew Hunt, P.A. to reflect that Andy Hunt is currently the sole proprietor of the firm.
